July 30th -Thunder bay

Kind of wet and greyish today.. Rain, thunder and lightning. Actually got a feeling of autumn as a really dark grey cloud gathering came sailing straight at me as I started walking towards the little hidden beach where I had planned to swim this evening. Strong wind and heavy rain shook the trees around me and people sat under blankets under trees or walked fast towards the parking place. A man parked his car beside me at the exact time when parked, he took his kayak from the roof and went out paddling from the beach.

Lightning flashed several times over the sky coloring it purple for a second, it was followed by thunder roars. Finally I was at the beach and I could see from the start that the thunder and rain wouldn´t last for long. As I jumped in the water it was still roaring and flashing, but the gray weather had already passed the beach just after some twenty minutes or so. So even if it was raining when I swam, the grey weather was soon over, the sea was blank and a wonderful rainbow appeared stretching from the east and over the little island just 30 meters from the beach. Lovely, lovely.
