July 12th -Freshwater Friday

I love freshwater, and this evening I had the opportunity to go to a beautiful place to swim. This duck obviously like swimming to... and she or he even likes tortilla chips! Just check the picture!

What was interesting about this swim.. well at least to me it was, and because you´re reading my blog you have to read it too. Well, the temperature in the water had amazingly high contrasts from the surface temperature to just centimeters deeper. The top layer of water was very comfortably warm, but centimeters deeper it was really freezing! Strange, I must say, and this must be the time ever that I have felt this great temperature contrast between the top and the lower water layer.
